Police search for missing WISD student

Police were searching for an 18-year-old student with autism Tuesday evening.

Both the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office and Washtenaw Community College issued alerts Tuesday about the missing student.

The man, who is a student in the Washtenaw Intermediate School District and is named "Fletcher," was last seen on the WCC campus in the Technical and Industrial building at 2 p.m., according to the community college's alert.

He is 5 foot 9 inches tall, 115 pounds and was last seen wearing a yellow polo shirt and blue jeans with a grey backpack. He has brown, shoulder-length wavy hair and blue eyes.

So glad they found him and he is safe. I was ready to go out this morning and help search had they not found him.

Hi Bubba- As noted by the previous two commenters he was reunited with his family a couple hours after the alert went out.

Student was found about 45 minutes ago and is OK.

According to another alert sent out by WCC at 8:11pm he has been found and is being reunited with his family. No foul play is supected.
