Police arrest 5, eject another 30 fans from Michigan Stadium during San Diego State game
Police made five arrests, including two for alleged assaults, inside Michigan Stadium at Saturday’s game against San Diego State.
One person was arrested for assault and another for domestic violence, according to Diane Brown, spokeswoman for the U-M Department of Public Safety. The other three arrests were for minors possessing alcohol, she said.
Two other people were issued tickets for having alcohol in the stadium, while an additional 30 people were ejected: 18 for possessing another’s ID, 4 for having alcohol in the stadium, 3 for possessing stolen tickets, 3 for violating the stadium rules, 1 for disorderly conduct, 1 for being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Brown said 43 people were treated for medical problems during the game, including four people who were taken to the hospital.
Brown said 110,707 people attended the game, which Michigan won 28-7.

aa.com may think they're just providing a vital statistic for the community, but why not the same stats about the City everyday? Why not the same stats about the hospitals, why not the same stats about the city buildings, why not the same stats about a multitude of things? Its because it appears that aa.com has a mission to smear UofM.

Why report it though? It's not significant, although without thinking of how many 110,000 people is, you would think OJ Simpson was at the game.

WHAT???? Smear job? This does not reflect on the U of M as much as some of the numskulls that go to the stadium. I suspect the U makes these stats readily available without anyone having to do any digging. Can you say the same about the city, the hospitals?

aa.com, you need to get real. This town wouldn't function or exist without UofM. So no matter how you try to smear them, they are more important and vital than you. Did anyone even blink an eye when you lost the ability to print on paper? No, because a random blogger can do the same job you do.

How do these stats compare to the night game? Less arrested, less ejected. Less medical issues too. We should outlaw night games... <a href="http://www.annarbor.com/news/14-people-arrested-20-ejected-during-first-michigan-football-home-night-game/?cmpid=RSS_link_news">http://www.annarbor.com/news/14-people-arrested-20-ejected-during-first-michigan-football-home-night-game/?cmpid=RSS_link_news</a>

Where were the two sherrifs I saw last weekend with the high-powered assault rifles? Why couldn't they have taken care of this?

"High-powered assault rifles?" Would you please expand on that? e.g., what were the makes and models?

Any national averages to compare this against? As usual there will be the "Oh no, crime at a football game? Shut it down!" complainers and those who say, "Only 35? What a low percentage!" Context would be great.
