Pittsfield Township police searching for suspect in Saturday armed robbery

The Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety is searching for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place in the 4000 block of Morgan Road just before noon Saturday.

The victim is a 37-year-old truck driver who had just made a delivery when the unknown suspect approached him with a small handgun and demanded cash. The victim handed over the delivery payment then attempted to get away from the suspect. He heard the suspect fire one shot from his gun and crawled under a tractor trailer, where he suffered minor scratches to his arm.

The suspect fled the scene.

Police describe him as an Hispanic male between 25 and 35 years of age, between 5-foot-5 and 5-foot-10. He has a muscular build and was last seen wearing a thin black do-rag.
