Now full of students, new North Quad dorm hosts open house
The University of Michigan hosted an open house for the new North Quad dormitory on Wednesday afternoon. The open house included a joining of flags by U-M President Mary Sue Coleman and Provost Phil Hanlon, along with tours through the new building that showed off several community spaces, dorm rooms and the cafeteria.
The 360,000-square-foot, $175 million building on State Street houses 450 sophomore-and-above students. It's also home to the School of Information and four academic units of U-M's College of Literature, Science and the Arts.
