An overturned trailer closed Jackson Road at Interstate 94 Friday morning.

The flatbed trailer, carrying what appeared to be construction equipment, overturned on Jackson Road just east of the freeway overpass. The truck hauling the trailer did not overturn. No one was injured, authorities said.

The road was closed about 11 a.m. as crews worked to right the trailer and clear the accident scene.

Not other information was immediately available.

Likely no one was hire or killed. If that trailer had landed on a car the story would be different.

I just drove through there. The road is open. but police were still on scene as of noon directing traffic through Jackson right by the I-94 ramps. It was slow going indeed. I stopped and spoke briefly with an onlooker who he said the truck lost its brakes while making the turn and dumped what looked like a tractor on a flatbed, which was in a nearby parking lot. Fire crews were busy sweeping up broken glass in the road.

Yup....that exit is short and abrupt....and he's hauling all that weight....and having to slow down whilst traveling DOWNHILL.....he just made the turn a bit too fast and that high center of gravity trailer tipped. You can see how wide he'd tried to take it too....so he ALMOST had it.

He would have caused real havoc if the light had been red! I suspect he tried to rush to make the green.

So, he came off the ramp from west-bound I-94 and turned left onto Jackson, tripping over his trailer in the process? You can see that his right rear wheel is still off the ground in the picture
