FYI, power was restored (at least in my neighborhood and a couple of surrounding neighborhoods) at about 10:15 p.m.

A few years back, it was possible to talk to a person when DTE power failed. The last time the power failed here, DTE recording gave us an estimated time for restoration and offered a call to tell us why the power failed. This time, the recording had no estimation of the time to restore and offered no explanation of why the power failed. I guess the next step for the next outage will be that the recording won't even answer the phone. I have friends in Kansas and Indiana who are horrified by our power outages we have in this county. They simply don't have this problem. I guess we have just become accustomed to a mediocre power service provider here.
