What would you like to see Mary Sue Coleman say to Rich Rodriguez?
By Stefanie Murray
There's been a lot of criticism of University of Michigan head football coach Rich Rodriguez in recent days for the team's 5-4 record.
On Monday, he asked for patience from fans. University President Mary Sue Coleman was also quoted in The Wall Street Journal saying she'll stand behind the coach.

Here's what I'd like her to say: "Coach Rodriguez, you inherited a very successful and solid, if stale, football program. You are not building from scratch here. We could have been blindfolded, and thrown a dart at a wall covered with the names of every D-I and D-II football coach in the country and we could not possibly have done worse than you have over this season and last. We just dropped off the planet as a football program. Why is that? At Michigan you are required to win, and to win with integrity and class. Right now you are falling significantly short on all three requirements."
