I am supporting Churck Warpehoski for City Council in Ann Arbor's 5th Ward for a number of reasons, including his youth, progressive values and involvement in our community.

However, one of the most important considerations for me in supporting Chuck is his proactive nature, an ability to work steadfastly through initiative and a sense of responsibility to change things for the better.

Not everyone in our community is so well-wired, many instead choosing the path of reactivity, driven by negative emotions and worldview, which poisons their ability to work with others and perpetually blaming others for all of the perceived shortcomings in the community and larger world. Give me a young, optimistic, can-do problem solver any day!
