Warpehoski can encourage diverse groups to find common causes

By Letters to the Editor

As a resident of the 5th Ward for 40 years, I believe we need to be represented on City Council by a person who understands many of our diverse needs, who knows how to learn more, and who knows how to encourage diverse people to get together to get important things done.

We need Chuck Warpehoski. I’ve worked with Chuck as a member of the Interfaith Council on Peace and Justice for several years, and I’ve been impressed with his ability to bring disparate perspectives together to find common cause — even when dealing with very contentious issues. This is an important skill on City Council. Please, vote in the Aug. 7 primary election, and vote for Chuck Warpehoski for City Council.

Chuck is nothing but a follower. Enough with Hieftje majority, lets put community first. Vote for experience, vote for Armentrout.

Chuck Warpehoski's AnnArbor.com column on the AATA giveaway of Ann Arbor assets from a few months back shows he's certainly not able to deal with 'very contentious issues' without using sarcasm and bashing. There is no place on Council for someone who uses such tactics when lobbying for issues. He'll be just another rubber stamp on Council--which we clearly don't need in 2012.
