Tim Connors exhibits dedication, devotion to make him ideal candidate
I worked for the City of Ann Arbor and the County of Washtenaw for a total of 34 years, and have since retired. I was Judge Timothy Connors judicial coordinator for 16 of those years and worked directly for and with him until I retired a short time ago.
As his judicial coordinator, I saw his dedication and devotion to the Washtenaw County Trial Court, and to the citizens of this county with a passion and caring that is extraordinary. His knowledge of the law and his incredible ability to render fair decisions while following the law in extremely difficult cases is amazing.
During his years on the bench, he has been assigned to many different divisions and has excelled in every one of those areas of the court. Judge Connors has the respect of the legal community because he has earned it with his hard work and dedication. His caring and compassion is unsurpassed.
I would highly endorse Judge Timothy Connors for re-election for the position of circuit court Judge.

A lot of the people complaining about Connors perhaps were in front of the judge for something against the law & have sour grapes. Make up your own mind & stop listening to the "sour grapes:

Just a reminder! The Secretary of State should have the initial campaign committee finance disclosures by October 26th in the Connors/Woodyard race. Many attorneys who are art of the "insider network" at the Washtenaw County Circuit Court have pumped thousands of dollars into the campaign coffers of judicial candidates. Many concerned citizens are glued to the edge of their seats anxious to learn the identities of the "big shooter" lawyers who have contributed to the campaign of Timothy Connors this election cycle. Stay tuned!

A few words about Michael Woodyard. A family man, father, and civic leader. The Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners appointed him to the Criminal Justice Collaborative Council and he has served honorably with some of the major local community figures. Mike Woodyard has served in an anti-corruption unit of Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy and has obtained a number of convictions in high-profile cases, including against police officer personnel. Mike's father served as a nuclear physicist with the Atomic Energy Commission in the 1960s and currently is an electrical and computer engineering professor at Wayne State University. His girlfriend, Veena Kulkarni,, holds a doctorate in musical arts from U-M and serves on the board of directors of the Interfaith Council of Peace and Justice - she has been a key organizer of her campaign. Mike Woodyard is an experienced and honest alternative to Judge Connors.

Yeah. few elected county officials are endorsing Connors. I see none (correct me if I'm wrong) from the County Board of Commissioners. The Democratic County Prosecutor is not endorsing Connors (but is endorsing Jim Fink - a Republican). The Democratic County Sheriff is not endorsing Connors (but also endorses Jim Fink). The Clerk/Register of Deeds (who is also the Circuit Court Clerk) is not endorsing Connors. The Democratic Water Resources Commissioner (who endorses Fink) is not endorsing Connors The Ann Arbor Democratic Party rejected Judge Connors bid for an endorsement at its 9/15/12 membership meeting by a 47-8 margin.

I know Cheryl Lee Atkinson , M. Colleen Currie , and other former members of Judge Connors' staff and they were a competent crew , including Court Reporter Teresa Sneyd as well as many the other judicial staff members that have worked at the court, including Erane Washington - who formerly assisted Judge Shelton and the staff at the Central Assignment Office. All top-notch workers. I am opposed to the re-election of Judge Connors and hope that challenger Michael Woodyard replaces him. Judge Connors' performance has been an embarrassment. Check the "My Opponent's Section" of Mike Woodyard's campaign website and you will see links to a plethora of Michigan Court of Appeals reversals with varying degrees of severity of criticism over Connors' conduct; one Court of Appeals opinion describes his statements as "egregiously biased" and "clearly injudicious" and re-assigned the matter to another judge. Woodyard correctly discloses a Judicial Tenure Commission citation of Connors where he deployed court resources for campaign purposes for two separate campaign committees. Mike Woodyard in a post on a thread to his recent interview in a2politico.com has indicated that Judge Connors may have violated ethics rule by having his wife accompany him to the Jenny's Market location and give her "perspective" as an impermissible "ex parte comunication" under the Code of Judicial Conduct. Timothy Connors has been employed by the University of Michigan since 2008 drawing some $140,000.00 in salary since 2008 for part time work (confirmed by umsalary.info - .9 appointment at the full-time rate of over $600,000 per annum) His wife Margaret has been hired to "co-teach" a family law class with Timothy Connors in Winter 2013. Timothy Connors dad, Edward served as president of U-M Hospital from 1969-74. Connors continues to hear cases involving U-M, and in 2009 dismissed a long-running civil rights suit by Catherine Wilkerson, MD agains

I do not know about this endorsement, but he recently showed that he might be a 'self proclaimed' straw maze safety expert in a recent, local case. This should be worth something.
