opinion: College football fan disappointed in behavior surrounding Ohio State game
If there are questions of judgement resulting from the Michigan vs. Ohio State football game on Saturday, from a confused, loyal follower of college football, they occurred off the field.
1. Why was the former Ohio State coach, whose penalty for mis-deed kept the Buckeyes at home this bowl season, honored at the game by the school?
2. Why did the majority of the 100,000-plus Ohio State fans provide the disgraced coach a standing ovation of approval?
3. Why did the Columbus police department not escort the U-M equipment semi-truck to the city limits to avoid the driver being splattered with bottles of urine on campus?
4. Why did our Michigan head coach mis-represent the tradition of sportsmanship and class at the school by not shaking hands with the OSU head coach following the game?
These Ohio natives, home and away, did not do themselves nor college football proud.
