Circuit Court judge needs qualities Jim Fink can offer

By Letters to the Editor

Jim Fink’s background and public service clearly show that he is the best choice for Circuit Court judge, and I am writing to encourage your readers to vote for Jim. He will be an asset to the Circuit Court bench and great public servant for the citizens of Washtenaw County.

Throughout his life and career, Jim has dedicated himself to the service of others. As Judge, Jim will continue to serve the people of Washtenaw County by fairly and impartially listening to the issues and cases that come before him.

While I commend those in law enforcement for their educated service to all of us, his service is simply not relevant to sitting as a circuit judge. He has not tried a case in circuit court. He is not familiar with many areas of law that are peculiar to circuit court. He is not well versed in trying jury cases. He would have to learn many areas of law while he ruled on people's cases. The circuit court bench is no place to learn the law. You should knowif before you run.
