National Weather Service issues flood watch for Ann Arbor area
Before the snow reaches us Wednesday, we might have to deal with a flood.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Washtenaw County and much of southeast Michigan from 7 p.m. today through Wednesday morning.
Heavy rain that's expected to begin tonight and continue all day Tuesday could bring up to 2 inches of rain by Wednesday morning, the National Weather Service said.
Recent rains have already saturated the soil, likely creating more runoff than usual into rivers and streams and ponding of water in low-lying areas and on some roads, the weather service warned.
The weather service says the rain will mix with and eventually change to snow overnight Tuesday. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected in some areas.

Well, at least it's not snow yet. I'd rather mop up my basement than shovel like eighteen inches of snow.
