It’s going to be tough for more than 1,600 DTE customers to watch football on the initial Saturday of the season after Friday night’s storms left them without power Saturday morning.
The DTE Energy Outage Map showed outages in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti Township, Pittsfield Township and Bridgewater Township. The largest outage covers an area of southeast Ann Arbor in the Packard and Platt roads area, where at least 1,159 DTE customers were without power Saturday morning.
About 193 homes were without power in Ypsilanti Township in the neighborhood between East Forest Avenue and East Cross Street north of Ford Boulevard.
In Bridgewater Township, about 102 homes were without power, according to DTE.
The largest swath of outages in Ann Arbor started just after 11 p.m. Friday. The outage map updated Saturday morning to show restoration could come by 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The 9:30 p.m. restoration time appears to be the standard time for all the outages in the county.
Drivers are encouraged to take care in the areas without power as traffic lights may be out and four-way stops will be in effect.
