Cohen, 67, is credited with helping create U-M's schools of information and public policy. He taught at U-M beginning in 1973 and lived in Burns Park.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.

The memorial will take place Saturday, Feb, 9, in the Michigan Union's Rogel Ballroom. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30 a.m., and the memorial program is scheduled at 11 a.m. with a reception afterward.

Free university parking will be available in the Thompson Street garage.

Those interested are encouraged to donate to the Michael Cohen Memorial Scholarship in lieu of flowers.
