Updated: More than 70 marijuana plants seized at nail salon inside Meijer near Ann Arbor
Marijuana plants were found inside a nail salon that leases space form the Meijer store on Carpenter Road in Pittsfield Township.
A manager at the store who would not give his name said the store manager assigned to the midnight shift told him about the marijuana discovery when he arrived for work Tuesday morning.
He said he had no additional comment.
Frank Guglielmi, director of public relations for Meijer said police executed a search warrant at the nail salon, which leases space from Meijer on the store's second level. He said he could not say what was found. He did not know when the search warrant was executed but said he found out about it Tuesday morning.

That's about as stupid as using a community access cable channel to distribute illegal pornography. 70 plants?!!? Unless they were in a flat of seedlings, it's hard to imagine how they went undetected for long.

Probably the fumes from the toxic nail glues etc. could have been used to conceal the smell of the marijuana?
