A man who authorities say was driving under the influence this morning crashed after he drove past Washtenaw County sheriff's deputies in Ypsilanti Township.

The 21-year-old Pittsfield Township man was not injured.

He lost control of his vehicle at about 12:30 a.m. on Rawsonville Road, south of I-94, a sheriff's department incident summary said.

The man's car hit a park bench and a fire hydrant, the summary said. Deputies were conducting radar enforcement when the incident occurred.

The man was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail, and the case will be forwarded to prosecutors for review.
