Man airlifted to U-M Hospital after rolling tractor in Freedom Township

A man was airlifted by helicopter to University of Michigan Hospital after being in a rollover accident involving a tractor at Bethel Church and Esch roads in Freedom Township around 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Officials are not releasing any information about the man at this time, including the severity of his injuries.

The Manchester Township Fire Department was dispatched to the accident, which did not involve any other vehicles besides the tractor, said Chief Bill Scully.

Scully said the farming tractor was headed east on Bethel Church when it rolled over. There was no else in the area at the time. The fire department had the scene cleared by 5 p.m.
