Lincoln school board may make changes to summer construction projects at July 25 meeting
The Lincoln Board of Education is expected to consider changes to construction projects due to unexpectedly high bids, according to a report in The Ypsilanti Courier.
New district Superintendent Ellen Bonter told the Courier that the projects are still on time and on budget. However, some work may be rebid or the scope of the work may be changed.

"...Board of Education is expected to consider changes to construction projects due to unexpectedly high bids..." "Superintendent Ellen Bonter told the Courier that the projects are still on time and on budget" OK, ...How can they make changes because of high bids AND still claim to be on budget, & on time...? I believe school starts 7 weeks from tomorrow.

And Brick elementary's school year was shortened by one day because there wasn't enough time between the last day of classes this past spring & the first day of classes this fall to get all the work done. -Like one more day would make a difference.

July 18th and the "bid" process is going to start over again and still be ready for the school year? This lady has kahonies. Good luck with that. But any administrator that tries to save a buck has got my backing.
