Dingell needs to go in November. But he represents wealth redistribution to his constituants, so he will remain the congressman for life.

Rep. Dingell and Rep. Schauer voted to expand the federal control over peoples lives. Not their money or property but their very LIFE. It is unfortunate that they do not have to participate in the same plan they are forcing on us.

I do not think this bill is good for insurance companies, or anyone. Since insurance companies will be required to cover everybody who approaches them, included those with pre existing conditions, they are going to be forced to estimate costs to cover all of them. Therefore expect premium costs to go up, which may make HC insurance less affordable, except for the very poor who will get a govt ride. Another issue that will drive costs up is that with this pre-existing condition element, people can wait until they get ill or injured to buy insurance. Then after costly procedures, stop paying the premiums. What a bargain. The non purchase fee will be far less costly than premiums so why buy insurance until you need it? I have not heard of any mechanisms to keep this from happening.

You must all keep in mind that this "Health Care Law" that they "passed" was not for your benefit. Unless you are an insurance company, in which case you got what you paid for. "The Government" no longer works for "The People."

And the other big question, how are we really going to pay for this expensive new entitlement that people with people making $80,000 getting a subsidy for? If you call the office the person how answers the call, does not know and no one ever gets back to you.

I find it interesting that Congeressman Dingell only shows up to friendly forums to discuss health care. Congressman Dingell how about showing up and answering questions at a non-stacked event. Amoung questions thatr should be answered are, When most retirees in Michigan are forced onto edicare at retirment, why was congress and congressional aids exempted in the legislation from having to go onto medicare? Why did Pual Krugman say "The advisory panel which has the ability to make more or less binding judgments on saying this particular expensive treatment actually doesn't do any good medically and so we are not going to pay for it. That is actually going to save quite a lot of money. We don't know how much yet. The CBO gives it very little credit but, but most, most of the health care economists I talk to think that's going be a really, uh a really major cost saving" From This Week ABC News 3/28/2010. It would be nice to hear answers to questions instead of just longwinded non-answers that avoid the subject.
