The role of government is to establish an environment where we can all prosper. Instead we are getting regulated to death. http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/epa-s-war-american-industry_555991.html I do not like 999. However it use is it starts a discussion as to how big the government should be. We cannot survive as a country when politicians pander to the 50% who pay no income taxes by giving the more benifits. All people need to pay something towards the cost of government, that way when their taxes go up they will pay some attention to what the government is doing.

Some would rather the Rich get richer, then the poor and lower middle class, get any help climbing the ladder.

nobody minds giving a helping hand up the ladder. but what's happened in our country is that people don't want a hand up, they want us to cut the ladder down so they don't have to climb it at all! sorry...it doesn't work that way. we need to regain a sense of personal responsibility in America rather than the "gimme" culture we have made for ourselves.

Not too many minority faces in those pics. And many of those folks appear to be of Social Security and Medicare age. They all look well fed and happy. I wonder how many of them are talking down government while taking the money? A few of those folks appear to have seen better days, or maybe have been down on their luck for a while. I suppose Cain isn't sympathetic and believes that a job with no base minimum wage and no health care is the solution to their problem. All they need is a pair of boots with straps. After all, Cain believes that poor people are poor because they don't work hard enough because of the nanny state. It's the same tired old so called Protestant work ethic that says you're poor because you're not as pious as the rich.. The same tired ethic that blames people for their circumstances based on the wealth or piety. What's Cain's position on Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, minimum wage and the social safety net? 9-9-9?

Good looking group of Cain supporters! Flying the tea party flag proudly. Wonder if any Ann Arborites had a chance to show their Cain solidarity with their brother and sisters in Ypsi? I hopes he keeps on preaching and raising Cain!

I "hopes" Herman and Rick are the final two in the genius party. I hear they have a lot of support in the upper class Chicago suburbs. I "knows" they really hate people who aren't up to the task!
