President Barack Obama will address a crowd of roughly 3,000 at 9:35 a.m. Friday morning inside the Al Glick Field House in Ann Arbor, but if you're not one of the lucky ticket holders you can watch the speech live online or at one of three University of Michigan locations.

The following are U-M-sponsored locations where university students and staff are invited to watch the speech:

  • Michigan Union ballroom, 530 S. State St.
  • Ross School of Business, Classrooms R0220 and R0230, 701 Tappan St.
  • The Duderstadt Center, 2281 Bonisteel Blvd., on North Campus.

The Alumni Center, at 200 Fletcher St., is streaming the speech live and opening its doors the public. If you're in Detroit that day, don't worry. You can watch the speech live at the U-M Detroit Center, at 3663 Woodward Ave.

You can also watch a live stream of the speech here and here.

Watching an old movie called "Mr Smith Goes To Washington". Might give us an incentive to get rid of some baggage out in Washington.

Watch any one of them and you've seen them all. They are all the same... devoid of reality.

For those who prefer not to leave the house (or work), you can also watch the president's address on WDIV (Channel 4) beginning at 9:30 and on ClickOnDetroit.com. I bet other local TV stations will also be covering the event.

Your president, not "the" president.

How about this, it's the same speech from 3 years ago, just go back and watch one. Then find the nearest large garbage can and commence vomiting.

As the person in charge of the event at the Alumni Center, the event is not open to the public, it is open to students. Not technically open to the public.

Thanks for the heads up Matt. Any word on how things will work at the Duderstadt?
