Grass and brush fire ignites in Freedom Township

Firefighters were dispatched to the intersection of Schnieder and West Ellsworth roads in Freedom Township for a brush fire around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Manchester Township and Saline fire departments responded to the fire in the 10000 block of Ellsworth Road. Tractor tires and brush piles were burning on the property behind a residence.

Upping the ante: first it was just grass fires, now it's grass and tire fires. How can we be sure that AnnArbor.com isn't sending people out to start these fires? It's a slow news month but grass fires are about as low as you can go in presenting "news." Grass fires vs just grass: you don't have to mow a grass fire. ;-)

You could see the smoke from Ellsworth and Stone School rd. in Ann Arbor.
