South Division Street in Ann Arbor was restricted to one lane between Jefferson and William streets Thursday afternoon.

Reports indicated a construction crew at the Institute for Social Research building had broken a gas line.

The Ann Arbor Fire Department was on the scene, a dispatcher with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office said at 3:47 p.m.

DTE was on scene after 4 p.m. The road was expected to reopen shortly.
