Crews from the Ann Arbor Fire Department were called to a garage fire early Saturday morning in the 900 block of Mary Street.

The call came in at 3:20 a.m. Saturday alerting the fire department to an outside trash fire in an alley. Firefighters arrived to find a 3-car detached garage also burning with two occupied homes located within 15 feet of the garage.

Fire crews extinguished the fire quickly and no other structures were involved. The garage was a total loss.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The cost of the damage is unknown.
