Flood warning issued for Washtenaw County
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for Washtenaw County until 5:30 p.m. today.
Between 3 and 6 inches of rain fell overnight in the central part of the county, causing widespread flooding, the weather service said.
Areas affected include Ann Arbor, Chelsea, Bridgewater Township, Saline, Pittsfield Township and Ypsilanti.
While light to moderate rain continues, the weather service said the heaviest rain has ended. Most showers are expected to end by 2 p.m.
Forecasters are calling for a high near 87.

Unfortunately, we just got the last month's worth of rain that we were missing, but all in a few hours. That means about 90% of it just runs off, rather than soaking in....
