Firefighters extinguish flaming minivan near Skyline High School

Firefighters from Ann Arbor and Scio Township doused a burning minivan in a church parking lot near Skyline High School Saturday afternoon.

The fire was first reported to be in the Skyline High School parking lot at 4 p.m., but when Ann Arbor firefighters responded, they found the minivan ablaze in a nearby church parking lot at M-14 and North Maple Road in Scio Township.

Firefighters from Scio Township also responded and helped extinguish the fire.
