A fire caused about $25,000 damage to a strip mall on the north side of Ann Arbor.
Firefighters were called to Northside Liquor at 1768 Plymouth Road about 10 a.m. after a market employee arrived to open the business and discovered it full of smoke, said Ann Arbor Fire Department Battalion Chief Robert Vogel.
A man working at the Bagel Fragel shop in the same strip mall also noticed flames on the front of the building, Vogel said. He used a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived.
Firefighters had the blaze under control in about an hour, Vogel said. The cause of the fire had not been determined, but firefighters believe it may have started behind an electrical sign.
Dennis Zaitona, an employee at the liquor store said the fire did not damage the interior of the store, located in the Plymouth View retail center, and the market is open today.

Again, great job -- a little concerned, I can't remember when we had quite so many fires in a short period of time. Many thanks to those keeping our city safe.

Isn't Smoker's Depot up there too? I bet they didn't mind a little smoke, if you know what I mean.

How many fires is that in town in the last week? 5 or 6? No pictures?
