Incumbents re-elected to Milan, Manchester and Willow Run school boards

Tuesday was a good night for incumbent school board members around Washtenaw County, as many earned re-election from area voters, according to unofficial election results.

Gregory Myers ran unopposed and was re-elected to the Willow Run Board of Education for a full term of four years.

In Milan, treasurer Janice Kiger and secretary Eric Peacock were both re-elected to the Milan Area Schools Board of Education to full terms of four years each. Kiger received 947 votes and Peacock received 912 votes, 41 percent and 39 percent respectively. Alan Fellhauer challenged Kiger and Peacock and fell short, receiving 460 votes.

Diane Hovatter defeated Sean Duval in the race for a partial term on the Milan school board. Hovatter received 745 votes, about 61 percent, to Duval’s 475 votes, about 39 percent.

Christine Fegan and Lyndon Uphaus will both be back on the Manchester Community Schools Board of Education after they were re-elected Tuesday. Uphaus received 248 votes, about 40 percent, and Fegan received 257 votes, about 41 percent.

Melanie Nau was defeated in her attempt to challenge Fegan and Uphaus, receiving 110 votes, about 18 percent.
