Portion of East Stadium to be reduced to 1 lane each way due to construction

By AnnArbor.com Staff

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday, East Stadium Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Packard Street and east of Brockman Boulevard for road construction.

The road work also will close off the south approach at Brockman, and not allow access from East Stadium. There will be no access from East Stadium, according to city permits.

The lane closure will conclude Aug. 20.

The work is part of a $3.6 million resurfacing of East Stadium that started in May.

Actually, East Stadium essentially has been been CLOSED FOR MONTHS. Other than the Brockman news, there's ZERO news here -- as usual. Today is the 18th; there's NO reason to believe that the "lane closure will conclude Aug. 20," as the SCREWED UP "CONSTRUCTION," which NEVER should have occurred this year, is NOWHERE NEAR finished! With school year upon us! Unbelievable!

I think you meant to write, "between Packard and west of Brockman". Sounds like you don't know your easts and wests on these maps. I care most about getting to the Stadium Boulevard portion east of St. Francis and west of Manchester.

"East Stadium to be reduced to 1 lane each way due to construction." Will the boss make this restriction permanent?

In particular, Brockman crosses both Packard and Stadium, so if you grab a map without looking from the intersection of Packard/Stadium to Brockman there are two possible results.

This article, as originally published, is not up to AnnArbor.com standards. I apologize and I'm correcting it now.

Through the years I've grown accustomed to AnnArbor.com pieces that are both utterly devoid of useful information AND embarrassing, unedited train wrecks, but this one sets a new standard.

Nice to have the map, guys, but only if you can get it right. Are they restricting traffic on Stadium between Packard and Brockman or on Packard between Stadium and Brockman?

The map is wrong. A sentence ends mid-stream in the middle of the article.
