Power out for about 2,000 DTE Energy customers in Dexter area
Update: Power was restored to all customers about 2:30 p.m., a DTE spokesman. Downed power lines caused the outage, but information on what caused them to come down was not available.
A power outage is affecting about 2,000 DTE Energy customers in the Dexter area.
"We have some crews out there to see what’s going on," said DTE spokesman Alejandro Bodipo-Memba "We’ve gotten a number of calls for downed power lines."
Power should be restored in the affected area sometime this afternoon, he said.
The affected area includes downtown Dexter and much of the surrounding area and running northward all the way to the Washtenaw County line, according to the utility’s power outage map. A smaller area to the northeast of Ann Arbor is also without power.
Areas without power are shown in yellow, tan and green.

"We've gotten a number of calls for downed power lines." Well, did an asteroid fall, or a bunch of trees, or massive straight line winds hit? This is getting to be a weekly thing around Dexter.

I think there are so many people now growing their own pot, that it's causing power outages. That's funny.
