Many thanks to the firefighters, County employees, emergency personnel and citizens who assisted after the tornado and those who make sure the siren is operable (it saved lives I am certain). I sat under the stairs in the basement with my one and three year old grand babies just waiting and listening. The house shook, windows blew out, and so much lumber blew by the small window I was looking out that I was sure we would see the sky above within a minute. Happily this did not happen to us but it did to many. The house to house visits made to assure that nobody was missing or injured were appreciated. Thank you!

OSB (plywood) without any housewrap (tvyek) behind the vinyl siding?

Looks like it. Not a good idea, hopefully they can rebuild it better than before.

So glad no one was seriously hurt or killed (that we know of yet). Crazy. No one seems very used to this around here, Tornados are just so rare.

We get a fair amount of warnings, but very few ever touch down. Let's make sure we continue to take those alerts seriously!
