Each year a team of volunteers from the Dexter community including students, parents, and teachers transform Dexter High School into a unique prom destination. For the 2013 prom the red carpet was rolled out for the theme "Horray for Hollywood" with decor and activities aimed at recreating an old Hollywood atmosphere.

I remember my proms there! They were so memorable because they did such elaborate decorations that made it so much more fun than just a ballroom decorated. All the fun things to do, and games! One thing Dexter Schools really have a step above the rest on:)

The collaboration of the Dexter parents and community makes other proms in the area look silly. Every year they create a incredible prom experience from scratch with a new theme. I was lucky enough to graduate from Dexter and experience it first hand. I couldn't have imagined going to some random banquet hall somewhere. Dexter school district has been poorly run for years, but this continually remains a bright spot, other districts should take notes.
