Details finalized for July 12 public reception with finalists for Ann Arbor city administrator position
Ann Arbor officials have announced new details of a July 12 public reception where finalists for the city administrator position will meet with members of the public.
The reception will take place in the lobby of the new Ann Arbor Justice Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The program is expected to include light refreshments, five-minute presentations from each candidate and then time for informal conversations with candidates. The Justice Center is the new building located at 301 E. Huron St. in front of city hall.

None of the candidates' names are being released, but the names of the yet-to-be-determined finalists should be available sometime in early July.
Council Member Christopher Taylor, a member of the council's search committee, said committee members still have not seen any of the applications so he couldn't comment on the pool of candidates. He said the committee will meet at 2 p.m. July 5 to review applications and it's possible a list of finalists could be recommended to council later that night.
On July 13, the candidates will participate in public interviews in the City Council chambers on the second floor of city hall from 8 a.m. to noon. City officials said a detailed schedule will be posted on the city's website when it becomes available in early July.
In May, business and citizen stakeholder meetings were held that allowed attendees to give their feedback regarding the new city administrator's role and responsibilities.
CFO Tom Crawford has been interim city administrator since April. He will continuing serving dual roles until a permanent administrator is appointed by the City Council.

Being a puppet isn't the hardest job. No creativity needed. Yep, doing a great job.
