David Brandon hired as University of Michigan athletic director
University of Michigan Board of Regents today officially approved the hiring of David Brandon as the next University of Michigan athletic director.
The university announced his hiring earlier this month.

Brandon will have a five-year contract, and the appointment will be effective March 8, the university said.
Brandon, 57 played football under Bo Schembechler, lettering as a defensive end in 1973, and later served as a university regent. He is chairman and chief executive officer of Ann Arbor-based Domino's Pizza, Inc. Domino's plans to elect J. Patrick Doyle as Brandon's successor.
Brandon was long considered the favorite to replace Bill Martin, who announced his retirement, effective Sept. 4. Martin will work as a consultant once Brandon takes over.

RE: Michigan Football "Help us David Brandon, you're our only hope!" Will BM be consulting for UM Athletic Dept.? HOPE NOT!!! He's responsible for the poor performance of the football program, by rushing to hire a "big name" coach, regardless of how ill fitting that coach is!
