Witness helps deputies nab Ypsilanti Township burglary suspect
A man was arrested this morning shortly after someone spotted him breaking into a home in the 700 block of Browning Court in Ypsilanti Township, a Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department media summary said.
According to the summary, someone living near the home heard a loud noise and looked out the window to see a man break out a rear window and crawl inside.
The witness called 911 and gave a detailed description of the man, the summary said.
Deputies said they responded and arrested a 46-year-old Ypsilanti Township man, who had absconded from parole and had at least two outstanding warrants for armed robbery.
Charges are pending in the case. Sheriff's Department spokesman Derrick Jackson could not be reached for comment.
