By Kyle Feldscher

A resident reported the door to his apartment was kicked in on the University of Michigan campus early Thursday morning, prompting U-M police to send out a crime alert.

The incident occurred at 2:20 a.m. Thursday in the 1900 block of McIntyre Drive in the Northwood IV apartment complex, according to the alert sent out by the University of Michigan Department of Public Safety.

Police said the door to the apartment was partially kicked in but it did not appear anyone actually entered the residence.

There was no suspect description released by police Thursday.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to call U-M police at 734-763-1131.
