By Kyle Feldscher

Two people were robbed by men with handguns while sitting in a car talking early Monday morning in the Arbor Pointe Apartments near Clark Road in Pittsfield Township, police said.

The Pittsfield Township Public Safety Department reported a 23-year-old Ypsilanti Township woman was talking with a 23-year-old Pittsfield Township man at 12:45 a.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Arbor Circle West when two men approached the car. The men pulled out guns and demanded their belongings, police said.

The two robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and a wallet, police said.

Police were not immediately notified of the robbery and could not locate the suspects.

The men were described as black, in their early 20s, about 5-feet-8 inches tall with short hair and dark complexions. They were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts.

Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Pittsfield Township Public Safety Department at 734-822-4911.

Just about 2 weeks ago there was a young girl who walked in on a robbery in her apartment after school in the same complex. One of the suspects was caught but the other got away...I wonder if it could at all be related.
