By Cindy Heflin

Thieves swiped two laptops in Ann Arbor Thursday or early Friday morning, Ann Arbor police reported.

The first occurred between 2:45 and 4 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Packard Street.

The 21-year-old woman who lives in the apartment said she left to have lunch and when she returned her laptop was missing. Someone had forced open the door to gain entry, Ann Arbor police said.

The second incident occurred between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of East University Avenue. The 21-year-old resident of the apartment told police someone stole her laptop from the apartment, but it’s not clear how he or she got in.

Crime in increasing folks. Can't deny it. The more our personal wealth decreases, those with poor morals are moving to petty crime to feed their habits and possibly to feed their family. We are becoming a socialistic society. When this fully kicks in gear, most of us will not have anything worth stealing. Oh - I forgot. I am waiting to read the comments about hiring more cops. This is a society issue. Only society can change the experience.
