Police release sketch of man who robbed O'Reilly Auto Parts in Ann Arbor

By Lee Higgins

Ann Arbor police detectives released a computer-generated sketch this morning of a man they said robbed O'Reilly Auto Parts on Tuesday night.

About 9:10 p.m., police said the man entered the business on West Stadium Boulevard through an unlocked back door after it closed.

He pointed a handgun at a 26-year-old female employee, police said, and demanded money. The man grabbed cash from the register and left out the back door.

He was described as white, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, thin, with blond hair and glasses. He was wearing a dark blue sweatshirt with the hood pulled up, dark jeans, black gloves, and was carrying a bag.

Anyone with information can call the police department's tip line at (734) 794-6939.

Race is in the description. UM won't like this! Height and sex to boot! Heavens to Betsy! What possible use can this be? Where did we leave our PC?

I think my son created this sketch. That's the only legitimate excuse I can see for the quality of this sketch considering that my son is still a fetus...

Seriously guys. I get that you piece together different images but would it hurt to dodge and burn a little? And what's with the MS Paint hoodie?!

Ummm? If I was this poor lady I would be slightly pissed about the quality of this sketch. How can anybody look at that and not laugh?

The guidelines for responding to what is reported on this whole web site are way over censored. I guess the only way to say "I told you so" is to wait for the arrest. I have a feeling that in this friendly and community lively discussion area many of us are thinking the same thing based on the number of comments removed.

Geeze. Looks like they took the rape suspect's comp sketch and used a sharpie on it (including the glasses). LOL

So, we should all be on the lookout for the love-child of David Cross and cousin Oliver from the Brady Bunch. Good to know.
