Scio Township woman says boyfriend held her against her will, assaulted her
A 32-year-old Scio Township resident was arrested after his girlfriend accused him of forcing her to drive to Detroit, damaging her car and injuring her leg, Pittsfield Township Police said in a release.
Police said they were called about 6:45 a.m. Friday to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, where a 28-year-old Scio Township resident told them she had argued with her boyfriend and agreed to drive him to a friend's apartment on Chester Drive in Pittsfield Township. She said once at the apartment he would not get out of the vehicle and produced a knife, threatened her and forced her to drive to Detroit, police said. On the way there, he damaged the dashboard and caused minor injuries to her leg with the knife, she told police.
The victim said she managed to get out of the vehicle at a gas station and stayed behind the counter with a clerk until Detroit police arrived. By that time the suspect had fled in the vehicle. Police later recovered the vehicle, and the victim then drove it to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital to seek treatment, the release said.
On Saturday, the suspect went to the victim's home in Scio Township, where he was arrested without incident, police said. He was being held pending a review of the case by the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office.

Ouchie, am glad this man was arrested. I can't believe he had the nerve to return to her residence. I'm happy that the lady was helped by Detroit Police, her car was found and she was able to drive to the hospital. This could have turned out much worse, being he had a knife. Hopefully now he is her EX boyfriend.
