Resident chases away intruder in Superior Township

A resident scared off an intruder Tuesday morning in Superior Township, Washtenaw County sheriff’s deputies said.

The incident was among four home invasions reported Tuesday to the sheriff’s department, deputies said in a media summary.

The victim heard someone entering the home in the 9100 block of MacArthur Boulevard about 6:30 a.m., deputies said, and chased the intruder away. A suspect description was not available. No property was reported stolen.

Another break-in was reported in the 1600 block of Harvest Lane in Superior Township. Investigators believe the crime occurred late Monday night or early Tuesday. A list of stolen property was unavailable.

Deputies are investigating two home break-ins reported Tuesday in Ypsilanti Township. One was reported in the 2100 block of Lakeview Avenue. Investigators believe it occurred during the morning hours. A list of stolen property was unavailable.

A break-in in the 500 block of Woburn Drive in Ypsilanti Township is believed to have occurred while the resident was at work Tuesday, deputies said in the media summary. Several items were reported stolen, but a list was not provided.

Can't rely on police to get there. And if the police do get lucky and arrest them, the justice system around here will find a way to get them back to work in no time. What is the answer?

Why does 95% of the crime in Superior Township seem to happen in one particular area?

Must have been a slow crime day near Macarthur Blvd. Only 2 of these were committed there. The criminals were probably out voting.
