Power saw swiped from pick-up truck at Ann Arbor Whole Foods
A power saw was reported stolen Tuesday from a pickup truck in Ann Arbor, police said.
A man stopped for lunch at the Whole Foods at 3135 Washtenaw Ave. around 10:40 a.m., Ann Arbor police Lt. Robert Pfannes said. When he came out, he noticed his Stihl masonry saw with a diamond blade was gone.
The saw had been in the back of the pickup truck and wasn't visible unless the suspect or suspects had been looking into the bed, Pfannes said.
Police continue to investigate.

I'm sure the whole foods thief is using it to harvest organic free-range trees, a good cause for sure.

So they stole the steel Stihl (with a trace of diamond). Watch for it on a Craigslist near you. A great followup to this story would be how the owner tracks down the thief and brings them to the new justice. (That would be just-dis one more 26 page form to fill out for the court). Don't expect the police to track down the culprit unless they 'saw' it. Any chance there is a shot from the security cameras?
