Crime map for the week of Feb. 13 - 19, 2011

The Ann Arbor Police Department handled the following incidents the week of Feb. 13 - 19, 2011.
Abbreviations:
larc f/vehicle = larceny from vehicle att = attempted larc f/bldg = larceny from building

the people in the city as a whole should help each other watch each other back than hopeing one person reports a crime ,,911 the people did not stand back and go oh my what should we do they got right and did something ,so if u cant use a phone then dont cry about crime,,

It would be helpful if there was a legend with this map. When I see "larc f/vehicle" I'm guessing that means a larceny with a vehicle but I don't know what the "f" indicates and I don't really know the definition of larceny--how is that different from theft, robbery, etc? Another entry says "Att larc f/vehicle." Huh? Can you include explanations in a footer or table somewhere? Thanks.

Larceny "from" a vehicle. Attempted larceny from a vehicle. And in regards to the definition of Larceny, you've got a computer right? Google.
