Wait a minute...Am I missing something? There's another article on annarbor.com about a guy with much the same description robbing the same bank that says he robbed this bank on "Thursday". (I so wish this site would use dates!) Kyle: Is this the same incident reported differently?

It has been corrected JSS, and the corrections are showing up in my browser. Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the site to update. If you're not seeing the corrected version in a few more minutes please email me at cindyheflin@annarbor.com

@Cindy. Well, I'm still confused. Here's what the other article still says as of this typing: "Police released images Friday from the surveillance camera at an Ann Arbor bank that was robbed Thursday afternoon."

JSS: It is the same incident. The date reference in the other article has been corrected.

Here is the way it works. Tellers are instructed to "give it up" because the cash lost is Less than the Workers Compensation paid to tellers who are shot. So the dude gets away with a bank robbery. Then he does another and gets away with it. Then he does a third bank robbery and gets away with it. Geeze, the dude thinks: "I have figured-out how to Rob Banks!!! His "Magic Thinking" is that he is untouchable, because he believes he is now a Bank Robber Genius. On his fourth attempt he is Nailed by LEOs, delivered to the Courts, then is Wrist Slapped. Yer Crim Justice "System" in action! He then goes on the streets again, stealing whatever is loose. Maybe goes into another bank. Just sayin' . . .

Bank robbers could be tried at either the federal or state level. There are certain factors that are considered when the decision is made to go from the state or federal level. And the FBI is typically involved, but not every time.

And nowhere does it mention that Bank Robbery is A Federal Crime, so the FBI will also be involved regardless of the amount stolen.

PWG Thank you, your extensive knowledge of how bank security works, your profiling of the robbers mindset, and how the judicial system handles a bank robber has helped me better understand the situation. I'm overwhelmed...Just sayin'.

Really disturbing number of robberies along this stretch of Stadium in the past few months. I hope the police are examining surveillance footage from public transportation as well.

Sporty..I guess you didn't note my sarcastic tone. I'm sure checking all video would have been the first thing they thought of.

Have ANY bank robberies gone unsolved as you post your silly comments? That would be a resounding NO.

Perhaps he wore a camouflage hat so that no one would see his head.

It must have worked because I drove by that intersection just before 4:00 and I didn't see him.
