Police: Man arrested after resident spots him breaking into vehicles
A 27-year-old Ypsilanti man was arrested early Thursday in Pittsfield Township after a resident reported that the man was trying to break into vehicles.
Responding officers apprehended the suspect near the caller's home. They recovered suspected stolen property at that time.
The suspect was lodged at the police department pending further investigation and review of charges by the Washtenaw County Prosecutors Office, the release said.

Someone stole my neighbor's Detroit Edison payment out of her mailbox and "washed" the check. He got away with $2,000 from the bank. The man that took it was just released from prison and he is a convicted sex offender. Hopefully the Feds will get involved and put him away for good. So, watch your mailboxes too.

When names are released of the punks ,they should be published for all to see who's responsible for these acts.

I was driving on Golfside and saw the Police officer going door to door yesterday --- I was proud of our police officers and I am just as proud of my neighbors!

A friend of mine's vehicle and my own vehicle were broken into IN MY DRIVEWAY on Tuesday night. Yes, we already filled out a police report for it. They didn't get much cause we don't leave stuff of value in our vehicles....but the punk stole my PRESCRIPTION sunglasses...that made me mad. I'm not really near where this happened though, so I doubt it's related...I could only hope though. They didn't find a pair of nautica sunglasses on them did they?
