PNC Bank in Ypsilanti Township robbed for second time this year
The PNC Bank on Rawsonville Road in Ypsilanti Township was robbed just after 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, the second robbery at the bank this year.
Sgt. Geoffrey Fox, of the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office, said a man robbed the bank of an unknown amount of cash and fled the area on foot. Fox said the man then got into a red or burgundy vehicle with two other men inside and fled the area in an unknown direction.
A man implying that he had a weapon robbed the same bank on Feb. 1.
The suspect in Tuesday’s robbery is described as a white man with a thin build, curly blond hair, a white sweatshirt and sunglasses, Fox confirmed. Two other white men were in the car when the man got in the vehicle, Fox said.
It’s unknown if the man had a weapon or implied to tellers that he did. Fox said police are reviewing video from the Speedway gas station near the bank, where the red or burgundy vehicle was waiting for the suspect, Fox said.
Anyone with information on this suspect is encouraged to call 911. Check back to AnnArbor.com for more information on this incident as it becomes available.

From what I gather from reading about banks being robbed, is that robbing a bank is about the safest form of robbery that any crook can do. Present a note, and walk away with the cash. Can't get much easier than that !!!

@ranger007: Seriously? How many minutes would you be spending in a bank on a weekly basis? From that, now determine what you think the odds are that you'd be in the bank during a robbery? What about the odds of being injured during a bank robbery? I think you, like the people fearful of the underground parking structure, may be experiencing "Mean World Syndrome". See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mean_world_syndrome .

That's why I asked how many minutes you'd be in a bank on a weekly basis -- to cover your particular situation. My question remains -- what do you think the odds are that you'd be in the bank during a robbery? Are you willing to consider the possibility that you've over-estimated your odds of intersecting a bank robbery (and getting hurt in one) in your mind?

How do you know what I do for a living? Maybe I maybe I make frequent trips to the bank each week. Your comment is pointless .

Is it just me or does Ypsilanti have a lot of violent crime? Maybe that's why Camp Take Notice was not located there?

@Craig - Com'on man, use your common sense. The second guy in the car was obviously the back-up get-away driver! Any bank robber worth his salt employs one. This is in case something happens to the primary get-away driver. Duh! He got away smoothly just because he was prepared. he police might ass well give up, they're obviously are dealing with a mastermind! :P

"The suspect in Tuesday's robbery is described as..... Two other... men were in the car when the man got in the vehicle, Fox said." seems like poor deployment of personnel. How many drivers does a getaway car need?
