Pittsfield Township man charged in sexual assault of child

By Kyle Feldscher

Note: This story has been corrected to show Domanski is 33, not 36.

A 33-year-old Pittsfield Township man could face life in prison after he was accused of sexually assaulting a child over a six-year period, according to police and court records.

Paul Domanski faces three charges each of first-degree criminal sexual conduct of a person under 13 years old and second-degree criminal sexual conduct of a person under 13 years old, according to court records. He’s being held on a $100,000 bond in the Washtenaw County Jail, records show.

Domanski turned himself in to police and was interviewed by detectives before being arraigned on Aug. 5, court records show.

Court records indicate the initial offense date is from Jan. 1, 2007.

Pittsfield Township Deputy Police Chief Gordy Schick said police in Sylvania, Ohio, notified Pittsfield Township police investigators of the alleged sexual assaults. It's unclear why the sexual abuse came to light in Ohio.

Domanski was in court for his first preliminary exam last week, which was adjourned until Aug. 27.

He is being represented by Brian Stacey. AnnArbor.com left a message seeking comment on the case with Stacey Thursday afternoon.

Sexual penetration of a person under 13 years old constitutes first-degree criminal sexual conduct. Second-degree criminal sexual conduct can involve sexual contact with a person under 13 years old, as well as many other situations.

If Domanski is convicted on any of the first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges, he could face a maximum sentence of life in prison.

A lady has made a blog post, asserting that she is the mother of the child(ren) and that the State has removed the children from her care: http://violentivy.blogspot.kr/2013/09/the-past-month-and-call-for-help.html annarbor.com should look into that as well.

Hell has nothing on what convicts do to pedophiles. Best source of justice in the judicial system. Well deserved.

Question for Kyle: With due respect to the rights of Mr. Domanski and he should be presumed innocent until found guilty, there is apparently enough evidence to satisfy the Washtenaw County prosecutor that 6 charges could be filed against him. (Is this correct from your story? There are 3 charges each of first degree and 2nd degree CSC?) Is there any more information that will be available to A2.com to learn more about what evidence there is to file these charges and will there be follow up by A2.com about whether he will be released via help of bail bonds person on the percentage of the bail set? I am curious about the reference to Ohio and wonder about whether there was evidence to find some online contact first to set up a meeting or sting to gather data to file charges. I am sad for the minor children involved in this. Is there information about whether each charge connects to a different alleged victim or multiple charges involving the same minors or more than one minor? Is it known if the alleged victims are male or female?

aaparent - There is no further information released to us at this point. Because the case involved a juvenile, police are not releasing more information in order to not identify the victim. Mr. Domanski is still lodged at the jail on the $100,000 bond, I do not know if he intends to seek the help of a bail bonds person. As far as I know, the charges relate to a single victim. I would doubt there was a sting or online meeting, as the victim was apparently known to Mr. Domanski. You were correct in stating there were three 1st degree CSCs and three 2nd-degree CSCs against him.

About my earlier post... Mr. Domanski, I apologize because you are innocent until proven guilty. That said, I will continue to pray for everyone involved in this.

If he is found guilty, give him consecutive sentences, and lock him up and throw away the key. No tolerance for child predators.

Interesting they didn't describe him as an Ann Arbor man.

on the other hand if he done something good you wouldn't have had a problem calling him an 'Ann Arbor area man".

Well, he's from Pittsfield Township, so saying he's from Ann Arbor would be factually inaccurate.

"A 36-year-old Pittsfield Township man could face life in prison...." seems appropriate to me Ann Arbor.com requisite disclaimer: assuming he is found guilty.

If found guilty, he will deserve every minute of the jail time. No excuses for going after children as far as I'm concerned. And no, I don't care about his history, drug use, sexual orientation or the state of his breath.
