One suspect arrested after man awakes to find intruders in his Ypsilanti apartment

By Steve Pepple

Ypsilanti police reported one suspect was arrested in a Friday afternoon burglary at an apartment in the 200 block of Ballard Street.

The resident of the apartment reported he was sleeping and awoke to find two men in his apartment, according to an incident summary log. The men then fled, taking with them a laptop computer and a video game station. A 42-inch flat screen TV was recovered at the scene, the summary said.

Police said a 23-old-old man was later arrested after being identified by the victim. The incident was reported at 1:20 p.m. No other details were available this morning.

Does anybody have jobs or go to school anymore? Who sleeps at 1:20 on a Friday afternoon? What people have nothing to do but commit crimes at 1:20 in the afternoon? Don't tell me they work nights either.
