Daily Press and Argus: Northfield Township woman jailed after hitting police officer with car

A 26-year-old Northfield Township woman who allegedly struck a police officer with her car then fled was arrested four hours later after running through a swamp, the Livingston Daily Press and Argus reported Thursday.

The Green Oak Township Police Department was dispatched to a residence at East Shore Drive near McNally Road in Livingston County at 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning for a party where 25 young adults were drinking alcohol.

The woman struck an officer in the upper thigh with her car as she attempted to leave. She also hit a mailbox.

The woman was found and arrested four hours later on Seven Mile Road. She faces felony assault charges.
